We were notified today that our "lifetime warranty" was being cancelled because we rented out house out while I was on sabbatical out of State. Our understanding was that the warranty would be honored "as long as we owned our house". Buyer beware: Shasta's "lifetime warranty" is not worth the paper it's printed on. We are also upset that many of the items that routinely go out...such as the expensive cartridges in the pressure tank...are also not covered by Shasta's warranty. We expect to pay for routine maintenance and smaller filter replacement, but why did we pay extra for the lifetime warranty if major repairs not covered? 128cd4b

Dan53 are you ***? Did you think with a lifetime warranty you have carte blanch and would never incur any expense on your pool? You sound liberal and sounds like you feel entitled to something. Let me get this right. You're upset that 20 years from now you're upset that you will have to buy pool chemicals?
